Preparing for the Procedure

Preparing for injectable fillers is easy and takes place immediately before receiving the treatments and involves cleaning the skin with an antiseptic cleanser. Pictures may be taken prior to the procedure to use as a comparison. Aspirin, ibuprofen, and certain vitamins and supplements that may thin the blood and cause bruising should be discontinued 2 weeks prior to the procedure.

Recovery from the Procedure

There is little to no recovery from injectable fillers as most people return to their daily activities immediately following the treatment. This is especially beneficial for professional men who have demanding careers. Immediately following the procedure, there may be some slight swelling and redness at the injection site but that resolves itself within a few hours or by the next day.
