How Are Radiesse® Treatments Performed?

During the treatments, Dr. Taylor makes detailed notes and diagrams on the individualized treatment pattern for future reference. Radiesse® fills out the wrinkles or restores areas of lost volume, producing a smooth skin surface. Results last for 9-12 months as the Radiesse® molecules are naturally absorbed by the body.
Preparing for Radiesse®
Because there is no risk of skin allergy, no testing is required prior to using Radiesse®. It is important to note a few suggestions to prepare for Radiesse®:
- Stop taking aspirin and other blood thinning medications prior to your treatment to avoid any excess bruising or bleeding at the injection site
- Avoid tanning beds for a couple of weeks prior to the injections
- Stop smoking prior to injections
- Avoid waxing and other facial treatments right before injections

Recovery from Radiesse® Treatments
There is no recovery or downtime following Radiesse® injections. Patients may return to their normal activities following the treatment. Patients are encouraged to return to the office for evaluation of the results and to ensure patient satisfaction. Radiesse® lasts for about a year and is most effective with follow-up treatments when the time arises.
How Much Does Radiesse® Cost?
Because treatment is customized, the cost varies based on the needs of the each patient and the extent of the area to be treated. As part of your consultation with Dr. Taylor, we take time to discuss the costs and our payment options. In addition to accepting cash, checks, and most major credit cards, we offer financing through Care Credit®. With cosmetic procedures, we do ask that full payment be made prior to treatments.
